Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital is seeking a Lead Cook to prepare meals and desserts and oversee all food production for patients, staff, and visitors; supervise dietary staff to maintain quality, safety and sanitation in line with hospital policies and objectives.
Lead Cook will ensure timely meal service, sanitize work areas, manage inventory, train staff, and coordinate with the dietary supervisor while maintaining safety protocols and glove use as required.
Lead Cook prepares food and dessert items and directly oversees all food production for service to patients, staff, and visitors. Lead Cook provides supervision and coordination of dietary staff to maintain high standards of quality food production, safety, sanitation, and service in accordance with established policies and procedures and in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalency required. 3-5 years of direct, relevant experience as a lead cook in a professional food service environment. SERV Safe Certification (or equivalent food safety certification)
