Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital is seeking a Lead Cook to oversee all food production for patients, staff, and visitors. You will supervise dietary staff, ensure high standards of sanitation and safety, and coordinate with the dietary supervisor to meet special dietary needs.
The role emphasizes timely meal preparation, inventory management, and training of new staff. A strong focus on infection control and adherence to policies will be essential.
Lead Cook prepares food and dessert items and directly oversees all food production for service to patients, staff, and visitors. Lead Cook provides supervision and coordination of dietary staff to maintain high standards of quality food production, safety, sanitation, and service in accordance with established policies and procedures and in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalency required. 3–5 years of direct, relevant experience as a lead cook in a professional food service environment. SERV Safe Certification (or equivalent food safety certification).
