Job summary

Tigg's Canteen Services is seeking a Permanent Part-Time Lead Cook for Emmet County Jail in Petoskey, MI. The position requires leadership in meal preparation, ability to work in a structured correctional environment, and the capacity to train and instruct kitchen staff.

We offer a wage of $21.00 per hour for this location, plus 401K, paid time off, and other benefits. Weekend and holiday shifts on a rotating basis, high school diploma or equivalent, and clearance into the facility are required.

Qualifications

• Leadership required to lead and train kitchen staff.
• Ability to read and follow company recipes.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience leading meal preparations including cooking and cleanup.

Requirements include:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts - days and hours (between 9:30am - 6pm)
• Clearance approval into the facility

Previous food service or kitchen experience would be a plus, but we can train the right person!
