Job summary

McDowell Center for Children, a UHS facility in Dyersburg, TN, seeks a Cook to prepare and serve meals for patients in accordance with the menu cycle. The position totals 32 hours weekly with 8 hours on Thursday for stock put away and 12 hours on Saturday and Sunday.

• Establish stock to ensure timely service and stock rotation; stocking on Thursdays.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen area and equipment; follow UHS policies and procedures.

McDowell Center for Children (a UHS facility):

McDowell Center is a 28-bed residential treatment facility located in Dyersburg, Tennessee, for adolescent males experiencing mental health, behavioral, and/or substance abuse issues. Our staff is made up of licensed therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, and counselors who offer 24-hour support for our patients. We provide young men with the skills they need to improve their thinking patterns, make healthier choices, and create new futures with improved outlooks and outcomes.

Position Summary

The Cook is responsible for the preparation and service of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals for patients according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets. This position is estimated at 32 hours per week. 8 hours on Thursday to put away stock and 12 hours Saturday and 12 hours Sunday.
