IEG USA in Charleston, SC is seeking a Lead Controls Electrical Technician or Journeyman. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems, read schematics, work with high‑voltage equipment, and use precision diagnostic tools to ensure safe, reliable operation.

This full‑time, in-person role requires 3+ years of experience, PLC design/installation, conduit work, and the ability to travel up to 25%. Valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as Lead Controls Electrical Technician/Journeyman or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of high‑voltage systems and electrical maintenance practices.
• Proficiency with voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other precision electrical tools.
• Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately.
• Experience designing, programming, and installing PLC-based systems.
• Skilled in conduit installation and wiring.
• Must hold a valid Driver’s License.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical control systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Use voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other precision instruments to diagnose electrical issues.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Conduct tests and inspections on high‑voltage systems to ensure safety and proper operation.
• Design and install PLC-based control panels and write ladder logic programs.
• Program and troubleshoot control systems and determine machine sequence of operations.
• Install conduit, wiring, and associated components with high craftsmanship.
• Document all maintenance and repair activities for compliance and future reference.
