Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. seeks a Lead Controls Design Engineer to own controls architecture, electrical design packages, and technical delivery for mission-critical automation projects.

The role emphasizes hands-on design leadership, development of complete engineering packages, and coordination of CAD resources across data-center and critical facilities programs. You'll lead architecture for PLC/SCADA, EPMS, and network topologies, while ensuring compliance with UL/NEC/NFPA standards

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience developing detailed electrical and controls drawings in AutoCAD.
• Experience leading design activities from concept through commissioning.
• Ability to coordinate multi-contributor engineering packages and CAD resources.
• Knowledge of EPMS, data centers, and mission-critical infrastructure requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead controls design activities from concept to fabrication, installation, and FAT.
• Develop detailed electrical and controls drawings using AutoCAD.
• Design complete automation systems including schematics, layouts, power distribution, and I/O.
• Engineer PLC/SCADA architectures and industrial networks.
• Develop BOMs with part numbers, quantities, and specifications.
• Ensure designs meet UL, NEC, NFPA, and project requirements.
• Coordinate CAD resources and manage drawing revisions and schedules.
• Provide engineering support during panel fabrication, FAT, and commissioning.
