Job summary

LBMC Employment Partners, LLC is seeking a professional Controller to manage financial reporting, internal controls, and a small accounting team. The role requires strong US GAAP expertise, a CPA, and extensive corporate accounting experience.

The individual will lead close processes, ensure audit readiness, and partner with CFO on budgets and analytics, while driving process improvements and data governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Active CPA required.
• 2+ years Big 4 accounting / audit experience preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in an accounting function with a mix of small to mid-size company experience.
• Current role should be in a Corporate Controller or Assistant Corporate Controller capacity.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure audit readiness; coordinate external audits.
• Lead the close calendar, forecasts, budgets, and variance explanations with senior leadership.
• Coach, develop, and elevate the accounting team and partner with treasury for cash management.
