Hitachi Energy USA Inc in the Raleigh/Cary, North Carolina area is seeking a Project Controls Lead to join our Grid Integration team. You will link engineering teams with project stakeholders, guiding priorities, managing risks, and ensuring successful delivery of complex power systems projects.

The role focuses on controls, SCADA, and SAS backgrounds with opportunities for leadership impact while staying closely connected to technology. Hybrid work with some office presence is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 4 to 7 years of experience in industrial control systems, SAS, or related power technologies.
• Experience leading projects and coordinating schedules or priorities.
• Knowledge of HMI, SCADA, industrial networks, and cybersecurity concepts.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for technical environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed project planning, schedule development, scope reviews, and budget forecasting for controls projects.
• Coordinate across engineering disciplines to resolve challenges and drive execution.
• Manage project risks, opportunities, and change requests throughout the lifecycle.
• Monitor performance and drive metrics such as on-time delivery and quality.
• Verify HMI/SCADA applications for FACTS and power projects.
• Support network implementation, documentation, testing, and commissioning.
• Participate in customer meetings, design reviews, and project reviews.
• Foster collaboration between technical experts, customers, and business stakeholders.
