Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist, Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply Lean methods in manufacturing, supporting Quality & Mission Assurance goals. The role embeds Lean principles into daily routines, leadership behaviors, and problem-solving across sites.

You will coach leaders, sustain gains with metrics, and share best practices. Travel up to 50% is expected based on location and project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or graduate equivalent) in a related field is required; advanced degree preferred.
• 4+ years applying continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
• 4+ years facilitation and coaching with shop-floor teams.
• 2+ years APQP and Process Control experience.
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Apply Lean and continuous improvement methods directly within manufacturing operations.
• Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and standard work development.
• Improve flow, reduce waste, and strengthen operational stability.
• Embed daily management, visual management, and leader standard work.
• Sustain gains through metrics, standardization, and follow-up.
