Job summary

NewsBreak is hiring for a Content Operations & Curation role (Senior Specialist / Lead). You will review, tag, and queue titles, run tests, and convert performance data into actionable decisions.

This is a dual-location hire in Mountain View, CA and Beijing, with bilingual English and Mandarin required. You’ll manage weekly test queues, track performance metrics, and drive post-launch distribution and reporting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in content operations or editorial roles at a short-drama or video platform.
• Familiar with top apps (e.g., ReelShort, DramaBox) and able to judge hook, pacing and paywall design.
• Data-savvy: read completion curves and conversion, strong Excel/Sheets; SQL a plus.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin; able to review English-language series and subtitles.
• Proficient with AI tools for tagging, subtitles and voice detection.

Responsibilities

• Review and tag 40–60 new titles weekly; verify AI-extracted tags and assess quality and compliance.
• Manage weekly test queue and track 72‑hour scorecards; recommend titles to scale.
• Run post‑launch operations for winning titles and build a playbook of successful tactics.
• Send weekly title-level and creative-level reports to partners and gather feedback.
• Support supply BD with evaluations and maintain catalog metadata quality.
• Track trends and publish a weekly genre & hit-title brief aligned with US charts.
