Job summary

Chewy is seeking an Associate Director, Content Design to lead our content creation practice. The role is available in Boston, MA or Bellevue, WA, with a hybrid schedule that requires presence in the office several days per week.

You will guide content strategy, collaborate with product, brand, merchandising and site experience teams, and build a high-performing team that elevates the Chewy voice across digital tools used by millions of pet parents.

Qualifications

• 7+ years as a content designer, information architect, or similar role.
• Proven track record delivering high-quality digital products with measurable results.
• Experience collaborating with brand, marketing, and merchandising teams.

Responsibilities

• Transform goals into compelling, feasible products.
• Lead systems-thinking across products, platforms, and devices.
• Champion cohesion across a growing portfolio with innovation.
• Manage content development from discovery through polished copy.
• Demonstrate proficiency in UX writing, IA, content strategy, and testing.
• Lead and develop a high-performing content design team.
• Nurture Chewy’s culture and standards for excellence.
• Partner with product, design, research, marketing, and other content designers.
• Clearly articulate decisions to senior leadership and executives.
