S&P Global, Inc. is seeking a Principal Consultant – Critical Minerals to expand our global critical minerals consulting practice within the Energy Transition team.

The role focuses on market analyses, model development, and client-ready deliverables, collaborating with a dynamic team of energy transition experts. Responsibilities include managing workstreams, developing cost and market models, conducting client interviews, and contributing to business development.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience in consulting, economics or financial advisory, corporate strategy or a related analytical role.
• Strong mineral economics skills and in-depth knowledge of the metals and mining industry and critical minerals.
• Technical experience related to chemical processing, process engineering, energy, or industrial value chains.
• Demonstrated ability to work with autonomy and minimal direction; strong written and oral presentation skills in English.

Aufgaben

• Manage workstreams within a project under the direction of the project manager.
• Develop market analyses and forecasts across critical minerals value chains including price outlooks and trade flow analysis.
• Develop or maintain advanced cost, financial, market, and valuation models across minerals value chains.
• Create client-ready insights and narratives based on data analysis and industry expertise.
• Conduct client interviews, workshops, and presentations to gather information and present findings.
• Review and provide guidance on analytical work to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Contribute to business development efforts (proposals, scoping calls, conferences).
• Build and maintain client relationships through effective communication.
• Work autonomously in executing engagements.
