Job summary

Dobco, Inc. in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations on public works projects statewide.

You will lead subcontractors, coordinate site activities, and drive project schedules to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with the highest quality standards. The role demands a strong safety focus, hands-on field leadership, and seamless communication with project managers, owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors to resolve field issues and

Qualifications

• Experience managing commercial or public works projects.
• Experience with K-12, higher education, municipal or government facilities preferred.
• Experience handling projects valued at $30M+ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all on-site construction operations from mobilization through project completion and turnover.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Maintain project schedules and ensure work progresses according to established milestones.
• Conduct daily site inspections to monitor safety, quality, and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with contract documents, plans, specifications, building codes, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Owners, Architects, Engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals to identify and resolve field issues.
• Manage site logistics, deliveries, inspections, and subcontractor sequencing.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, safety documentation, and project records.
• Promote a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.
• Lead project closeout activities, including inspections, punch lists, and turnover.
