Job summary

Ames Construction in Lancaster County, PA seeks a Construction Superintendent to lead commercial projects from the field. You’ll own the jobsite, coordinate trades, manage schedules, safety, and quality, and ensure work is completed on time and within budget.

The role requires 5+ years in commercial construction, strong leadership, blueprints reading skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and the project team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience with leadership or supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record; MVR background check required.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day construction from startup through completion.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all on-site construction activities.
• Direct and oversee employees, subcontractors, and other contractors.
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Develop, maintain, and execute detailed project schedules.
