Job summary

McGough Construction seeks an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on complex, high-profile projects in Sioux Falls. You will oversee preconstruction planning, scheduling, safety, and quality control, coordinating with clients and design teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Strong leadership, Lean/Last Planner experience, and a collaborative mindset are essential to drive continuous improvement and ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 10+ years of professional construction experience required.
• 5-10 years of construction-related experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication and leadership skills.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and forward thinking.
• Computer literate with ability to use common software tools.
• OSHA 30 certification required; LEED or green building knowledge a plus.
• Bilingual with Spanish and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction planning, site logistics, and safety planning.
• Provide comprehensive leadership of field staff and subcontractors.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and QA processes.
• Drive Lean construction initiatives and Last Planner use.
• Foster client, design team, and stakeholder relationships.
• Support project closeout, punch lists, and turnover.
