Job summary

Sigma Build, the general contracting arm of Alpha Residential, seeks a Superintendent to own projects from groundbreaking to closeout on Pittsburgh-area sites. You’ll lead on-site teams, coordinate with architects and subs, and drive schedule adherence while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include translating plans into daily direction, communicating with ownership and stakeholders, and controlling costs to keep projects on budget.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction experience with real supervisory responsibility.
• Ability to read and translate construction documents and blueprints into daily on-site direction.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget without compromising quality.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to align architects, engineers, subs, and ownership.
• Demonstrated safety-first approach and the ability to prioritize critical tasks under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Run the job from groundbreaking through closeout, overseeing all phases of construction.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to translate plans into built reality.
• Build and manage a realistic project schedule and drive crews to meet it.
• Supervise on-site teams with a safety-first culture and accurate plan reading.
• Maintain quality by inspecting work and preventing shortcuts.
• Provide clear progress updates to stakeholders on milestones, risks, and outcomes.
• Track budget and resources to ensure projects finish on plan, not just on time.
