Job summary

TPC- Building Projects, A Tutor Perini Company, is seeking a General Superintendent to join the Brooklyn Jail Project in Brooklyn, NY. The role oversees day-to-day on-site operations, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and budget control on a high-security facility.

Qualified candidates have 20+ years in institutional construction, strong leadership, and proficiency with Procore, PlanGrid, and Bluebeam. The project scope includes a 3B+ facility with advanced security and community spaces.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial or institutional construction.
• Strong knowledge of structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Experience in complex, secure, or high-risk construction environments.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Excellent leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and supervise all on-site construction activities for the jail project.
• Manage and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
• Conduct daily meetings and briefings with crews on tasks and safety requirements.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant job site at all times.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and protocols for correctional facilities.
