Job summary

Penhall Company in Savannah, GA is seeking a Superintendent to oversee and coordinate craft activities on construction projects, planning, supervising, and scheduling multiple trade groups. You will maintain safety and quality standards, review progress and costs, and liaise with the Project Manager and Contracts Manager to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Safety-focused leadership and enforcement of site procedures.
• Ability to coordinate multiple trades and maintain schedules.
• Strong communication with project stakeholders and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain high safety and quality standards in accordance to company and industry standards.
• Inspects work in progress to ensure workmanship and safety standards.
• Prepares or reviews progress reports, materials usage, and costs, adjusting schedules as needed.
• Ensure proper documentation and cost-related paperwork is completed accurately and timely.
• Ensure purchase orders, receiving reports, and timesheets are correctly coded.
• Provide updates to resolve construction issues and productivity concerns.
• Coordinate work across crafts, departments, and contractors to avoid conflicts or delays.
• Maintain communication with the Project Manager, Contracts Manager, and other stakeholders.
• Determine construction methods, manpower needs, materials, equipment, and temporary power sources.
