Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Austin, TX is seeking a Project Superintendent to lead on-site coordination across trades, manage safety, schedule delivery and quality, and ensure adherence to budget on the division's projects. You will supervise Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, interns and labor, and report to the Project Superintendent, Project Manager or Project Executive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of four years' related experience in construction.
• Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control, general contract, general conditions, subcontract documents, drawings and specs, including Microsoft Office and EH&S applications.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, scopes of work and project schedule.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control and trade staffing levels.
• Promote a coordinated project operation among assigned trades and resolve procedures or scheduling issues.
• Manage the site safety program and enforce Turner safety standards and codes.
• Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers and Interns.
• Create schedules and recovery plans to maintain the project timeline.
• Communicate with owners and architects/engineers on field issues and resolutions.
• Oversee billing-related activities and ensure progress measurement is accurate.
