Job summary

Next 150 Construction, a wholly owned subsidiary of Gilbane Building Company, seeks a Safety Manager to lead all project safety efforts on a large-scale construction project. The role is primarily based on the jobsite with occasional travel to the office for meetings, training, and other business activities.

Responsibilities include promoting Gilbane Cares, coordinating safety with contractors, maintaining documentation, and conducting SafetyNet inspections with trend analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in safety management or engineering preferred.
• BCSP credential required or equivalent certification.
• Instructor certification by GU and OSHA to train staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety efforts on the project and uphold Gilbane safety culture.
• Preplan contractor activities for safety via scope reviews and JHA.
• Ensure contractor safety submittals and compliance with safety plan.
• Maintain safety documentation and incident reporting.
• Conduct SafetyNet inspections and analyze trends with the team.
• Coach team in hazard recognition and corrective actions.
