Job summary

Turner is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead multiple projects in Detroit, MI. The role requires top-tier leadership, budgeting and scheduling skills, with hands-on BIM and Lean implementation experience.

You will manage contracts, foster critical relationships, and drive safety and QA/QC programs while ensuring on‑time, on‑budget project delivery on site at the construction project locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus minimum ten years of related experience.
• Thorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing and engineering principles and techniques.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
• Ability to implement BIM and Lean to benefit the project.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop a high‑performance team through supervision, training, coaching and mentoring with regular feedback and appraisals.
• Understand and administer Turner’s contract and subcontract agreements.
• Foster owner, architect, subcontractor and vendor relations.
• Establish, update and communicate the Master Project Schedule and manage its implementation.
• May collaborate with Preconstruction on project development.
• Manage budget and financial reporting; interpret and analyze reports to ensure budget adherence.
• Oversee QA/QC program and field operations and engineering processes.
• Drive safety protocol enforcement by project staff.
• Coordinate with Accounting to initiate pay applications and ensure timely payments.
• Keep management informed on progress via Operation Review Meetings (ORMs).
• Support Turner initiatives and technologies.
