Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks a Lean Program Manager to lead Lean initiatives at the business unit or project level in the Detroit area. The role focuses on enhancing customer value, enabling a learning environment, and maximizing project team collaboration on-site.

The candidate will work with Last Planner System, Lean Roadmap, and standard work development, with preferences for BIM experience and Last Planner training. Extensive travel is required across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of five years’ related experience.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills. Prefer Last Planner System experience or Advancing Lean training; BIM experience is preferred.
• Willing to travel extensively to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support Lean initiatives at the Business Unit or Project level to improve value, learning, and collaboration.
• Work daily with teams using the Last Planner System mechanics and lean tools.
• Provide insight, direction, and alignment to the project teams and leadership.
• Support project launches using the Launch Matrix and Lean Roadmap planning tools.
• Help establish standardized lean practices, visuals, and training across regions and projects.
• Facilitate site visits and training to spread lean principles; collaborate with Regional Lean Manager.
