Job summary

BRPH in Goleta, California is seeking a Construction Project Manager responsible for leading projects to meet scope, schedule, and budget while enforcing HSE and Quality controls.

The role requires managing at-risk projects from $3M to $20M, collaborating with design and construction teams, and ensuring client satisfaction and successful project delivery. Travel may be required; a PM/ CCM or PMP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or equivalent.
• Five years of industry experience; PMP or CCM may substitute for degree.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager or Construction Manager.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of the built environment infrastructure.
• Experience across project lifecycle from planning to closeout.
• Understanding of CPM scheduling and Earned Value management.
• Cash flow and budget management; project controls experience.
• Experience with general contractors and trade subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction and design/build proposals including planning, estimating, scheduling, subcontracting, and compliance.
• Prepare baseline performance plans with metrics for costs, margins, schedules, and cash flow.
• Provide monthly forecasting and cost monitoring to deliver as-bid gross profit or more.
• Ensure safety compliance and enforce a zero-tolerance safety culture on site.
• Oversee quality to meet contract and design requirements.
• Maintain owner communication and ensure satisfaction for repeat business and references.
• Lead design and construction teams through pre-qualification, selection, and contracting processes.
• Procure subcontractors and vendor equipment as needed.
• Develop risk registers and change logs to mitigate project risks.
• Secure necessary permits, environmental approvals, and licenses.
• Mentor project team and resolve conflicts to maintain progress.
• Foster partnering with Owners, supervisors, contractors, and designers to resolve issues.
