Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Senior Construction Materials Technician in Corpus Christi, TX to perform soil and concrete testing, project-specific observation, and inspections under supervision, supporting diverse construction projects.

The role requires certifications in field testing and the ability to lift 30–50 pounds, with a valid driver’s license and flexibility for overtime. Join a team delivering quality assurance across the A/E/C industry.

Qualifications

• Must possess the following certifications: ACI: Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade 1
• Soils, Concrete, Masonry, Reinforced Steel
• Asphalt Level 1B Roadway Specialist
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record
• Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to discern sound
• Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
• Ability to climb occasionally
• NICET II (geotechnical or construction, or construction material testing or soils)

Responsibilities

• Utilize, read and interpret plans, drawings, specifications, and diagrams
• Use specific methods to observe site activities, perform tasks and interpret results
• Attend project meetings alone, communicate effectively with client and project teams
