Job summary

Intertek is seeking an Entry-Level Field Technician in Corpus Christi, Texas, to join our Building & Construction team. This on-site role offers hands-on experience supporting construction projects and learning testing methods for soils, concrete, and asphalt under supervision.

No prior materials testing experience is required; you will receive training and be part of a safety-conscious team focused on quality and career development.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and laboratory testing on construction materials such as soil, concrete, asphalt, and other materials.
• Observe construction activities and document findings in accordance with project requirements.
• Record, review, and report test results accurately and efficiently.
• Read and work from plans, specifications, and project documents.
• Operate testing equipment, tools, and instruments safely and effectively.
• Communicate observations and test results with project teams and clients.
• Maintain organized project records and documentation.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures while promoting a strong safety culture.

Salary & Benefits Information

The base wage or salary range for this position is $16.00 - $20.00 per hour. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, including skills, experience, qualifications, and other job‑related considerations.

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including hot and cold environments

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous construction or labor‑related experience
• Construction Materials Testing experience
• Industry certifications such as ACI, ICC, and/or Asphalt Certifications
