Job summary

Delve Underground is seeking a Construction Manager in Washington, DC to lead major underground infrastructure projects including transport and utilities. This full-time role requires directing project teams and managing budgets up to $500 million to deliver projects on schedule and within scope.

The candidate will act as owner’s representative, oversee QA/QC, risk management, and business development, while representing the company at industry forums.

Qualifications

• 20+ years heavy civil industry experience, including 15+ years in management of large and complex underground projects.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or overseas equivalent) and engineering professional registration/certification.
• Must speak and write English and be able to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Act as project owner's representative with contractors, manage payments, change orders, and certificates of completion; oversee progress reporting.
• Lead a construction management team including resident engineers, office/field engineers, cost control, document control and inspectors.
• Lead meetings, plan schedules, specs, and budget reports; conduct QA/QC reviews per client requirements and company policy.
• Lead risk management efforts and manage projects with budgets up to $500 million; develop business opportunities with clients.
• Promote the company in industry forums and contribute to strategic initiatives and growth.
