Job summary

Verto is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee site delivery on a major energy infrastructure project, representing the client throughout construction and leading a multidisciplinary site team.

You will provide oversight of the principal engineering, procurement and construction contractor, challenging delivery plans while maintaining productive working relationships and ensuring safety and schedule compliance.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership on complex capital projects in power or heavy industry.
• Experience representing an owner and overseeing EPC contractor performance.
• Knowledge of fixed-price contracts and contractor obligations.

Responsibilities

• Direct the client’s site construction team with clear responsibilities.
• Hold main contractor accountable for safety, workmanship, milestones.
• Assess schedules, methods, and workforce plans; drive corrective action.
• Coordinate with engineering, controls and contractor leadership.
• Review work packages for scope clarity and readiness.
• Validate site progress and payment evidence.
• Identify delivery risks and escalation needs.
• Lead site coordination meetings through completion.
• Oversee receiving, storage and protection of equipment.
