Job summary

Prince Georges County Government Office of Engineering and Project Management is seeking a Construction Manager (Engineer 4G) to lead complex CIP construction projects in Largo, MD. The ideal candidate will manage design through closeout, supervise staff, review plans, and ensure compliance with County, state, and federal requirements; a PE license and a valid driver s license are required.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in engineering (civil, environmental, transportation, etc.).
Four years of progressive professional experience, with at least two years in leadership.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Valid drivers license required.

Responsibilities

Perform supervisory engineering and construction management for CIP projects.
Review construction plans for compliance with scope, standards.
Develop concept designs and prepare cost estimates.
Oversee preparation of technical and contract specifications.
Manage project delivery from design through closeout, including scheduling and budgeting.
Coordinate inspections and stakeholder approvals.
Monitor contractor performance and address issues.
