Job summary

The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission seeks a Lead Construction Representative to review plans, manage permits, and supervise park and recreation facility projects in Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties. Qualifications

• Associate's degree in construction management, engineering, surveying, or related field.
• Six years of progressively responsible construction permitting, inspection and management experience; or eight years with equivalent.
• Must pass Commission medical examination and hold a valid Maryland driver's license.
• Must obtain Maryland Responsible Person Certificate ('green card') within six months.

Responsibilities

• Review site and construction plans, permit requests, drawings/blueprints and inspect projects.
• Inspect/repair parking lots, bridges, trails and other construction projects on Commission property.
• Coordinate with contractors, develop plans, specifications and cost analyses for division projects.
• Develop and implement facility inspection protocol and submit data for maintenance work orders.
• Coordinate with staff, contractors and public agencies; oversee project closeout and budget input.
