Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. in Washington, DC seeks a Senior Construction Manager to lead the on-site execution of major campus utility projects at Georgetown University, delivering on schedule and budget with safety and quality at the forefront.

You will coordinate with Project Managers and Engineers, oversee contractors, manage sequencing and outages, and ensure transparent field operations while upholding ENGIE standards and campus relations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field and 5+ years construction management experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, HS diploma and 10+ years managing industrial/campus infrastructure projects.
  • OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily construction activities for on-site projects, ensuring design intent, schedule and quality.
  • Supervise contractors and field teams during mobilization, installation, testing and commissioning.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Operations to plan tie-ins and outages with minimal disruption.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify safety and workmanship.
  • Review RFIs, submittals, field changes, and change orders with leadership.
  • Lead progress meetings and document schedule/deliverables.
  • Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards across construction activities.
  • Mentor junior staff and uphold ENGIE construction standards.
