Job summary

Hawaii Public Housing Authority Division is seeking a General Construction and Maintenance Supervisor I to oversee skilled trades workers in the construction, maintenance, and repair of buildings and related infrastructure in the Hawaii region.

The role requires extensive experience in construction/maintenance, including supervisory duties, and may involve supervising equipment and grounds maintenance tasks as part of daily operations.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of work experience in construction and maintenance of buildings, structures or electrical or plumbing systems.
• Four (4) years as a fully competent skilled worker.
• One (1) year of supervisory experience including planning, scheduling, supervising, training and evaluating workers.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise skilled trades workers, helpers, equipment operators, laborers and other workers in construction, maintenance, alteration and repair of buildings and structures.
• Oversee maintenance of electrical and plumbing systems and related installations.
• Possibly supervise maintenance of motorized equipment and landscaping areas.
