Job summary

The State of Hawaiʻi invites applications for the General Construction and Maintenance Supervisor I in the Hawaii Public Housing Authority Division. This role supervises skilled trades workers and other staff across construction, maintenance, and repair of buildings, structures, and systems, including grounds and equipment as needed.

It requires extensive construction/maintenance experience with at least one year in a supervisory capacity, including planning, scheduling, and evaluating staff

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of work experience in construction/maintenance of buildings, structures or electrical/plumbing systems.
• One (1) year of supervisory experience including planning and scheduling work and evaluating performance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise skilled trades workers, helpers, equipment operators, laborers and others in construction and maintenance work.
• Oversee maintenance and repair of buildings, structures, paved areas, and electrical/plumbing systems.
• May supervise maintenance of motorized equipment used on site and grounds/landscaping.
