Job summary

HNTB Corporation in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Construction Field Specialist I, Team Lead to provide senior-level inspection and field oversight on complex infrastructure projects. Qualifications

Reads and understands contract plans and specifications.
Performs advanced calculations.
Understands and interprets contractor’s schedule.
Understands testing requirements and procedures; uses testing equipment for materials testing.
Serves as field technical subject matter expert by recognizing discrepancies or errors and resolves issues.
Coordinates the project within the discipline.

Responsibilities

Inspects, observes, documents, and verifies contractor work to ensure compliance with schedule, contract documents, and plans.
Advises contractor superintendent of necessary actions to ensure conformance with plans and specs.
Reviews and resolves quantity disputes with contractor.
Performs on-site material testing and assists with equipment maintenance.
Assists with as-built record drawings and contract close-out documentation.
Attends project progress meetings and supports schedule reviews and change orders.
