Job summary

National Core is seeking an experienced Construction Cost Estimator in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. This role supports the Vice President of Construction Estimating in developing and maintaining the Historical Cost Model and creating cost estimates for pre-development and project phases.

The incumbent will prepare quantity take-offs, forecast costs, manage bids, and coordinate with design consultants and subcontractors to ensure timely, on-budget project delivery for multi-family developments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of multi-family construction experience.
• Minimum 2 years of cost estimating experience.
• Strong estimating skills from conceptual to detailed estimates.
• Experience with permitting processes (Cities/ Counties).
• Ability to manage CPM schedules and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs and estimate costs of materials, labor, and equipment.
• Forecast project costs over a 3–4 year window.
• Evaluate construction methods and cost-effectiveness.
• Prepare estimates for Conceptual, Schematic, DD, and Construction Documents.
• Review plans to identify omissions and ensure full estimate scope.
• Attend meetings to discuss pricing and resolve issues.
• Manage design consultants and subcontractors as owner/representative.
