Job summary

Gregor Industries Inc in Huntington Station, NY is seeking a Senior Estimator for an in-person, full-time role. You will perform quantity take-offs, assist with bid preparation, coordinate with subcontractors, and organize project documents.

Key duties include preparing schedules of values, labor and materials costs, cover letters, and bid schedules on MS Projects. You will also solicit subs, communicate with project teams, and support pricing databases and estimating templates.

Qualifications

• 7–15 years of construction-related experience preferred.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with estimating or take-off software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam) is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Highly motivated and eager to learn.

• Prepare Cover Letter with Inclusions & Exclusions.
• Prepare Construction Schedules On MS Projects For Bid Proposal.

• Assist in preparing cost estimates for a variety of projects
• Organize and manage bid documents and project files
• Solicit and track subcontractor and vendor pricing
• Communicate with project teams to ensure accurate bids
• Maintain bid schedules, deadlines, and submissions
• Support the development of pricing databases and estimating templates

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM | 30-minute lunch break
