Dyno Nobel is seeking a Construction Blaster in Salt Lake City, Utah to design, lay out, coordinate, and lead crews for detonation on construction projects, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will participate in blast reviews, optimize blasting performance, and provide technical support for Dyno Nobel products while advancing technology deployment on the jobsite. This role requires extensive travel and on-site work across projects.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree preferred; 5+ years blasting/technical experience acceptable in lieu
• 5+ years of civil/construction surface blasting experience
• Experience with vibration sensitive blast designs
• Ability to read engineered drawings
• Willingness to travel extensively and work on-site 3-4 months at a time
• Knowledge of ATF, OSHA and local regulations with the ability to obtain blasting permits
• Must pass ATF background check to be a possessor of explosives
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Positive attitude and team player

Responsabilités

• Lead blasts with safety, layout, preparation and detonation per client and Dyno Nobel requirements
• Negotiate design upgrades with blasting inspectors, owners and contractors
• Coordinate blast reviews and optimization initiatives to improve profitability
• Provide technical and training support for Dyno Nobel products and investigate blast issues
• Roll out and support new blasting technology and tools
• Act as technical consultant/product manager for heavy civil projects
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
