Project Solutions Inc. seeks a Concrete Inspector to support the USACE on the New Lock at the Soo project in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. The role provides independent QA oversight of mass concrete construction, witnessing testing, and reporting on contract compliance.

The position requires 5+ years in QA/QC on concrete projects, OSHA-30, and ASCI/ACI certifications. On-site work with varying shifts is expected, with strong coordination with USACE and contractor QC teams.

Competenze

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control on commercial or industrial construction projects involving concrete placement.
• Must be able to read construction plans and specifications.
• Experience on USACE projects or heavy commercial/industrial construction; residential not relevant.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and operate site transportation equipment.
• Must complete OSHA-30 training prior to arrival on site.
• Personnel performing testing must hold ACI certifications listed earlier.
• Must pass a federal security background check and comply with site policies.
• Must perform physical work in construction environments and work varied shifts.

Mansioni

• Provide independent QA oversight of mass concrete DFOW for the New Lock Chamber project.
• Ensure contractor work complies with contract specs and USACE standards.
• Collaborate with QC staff, safety personnel, and USACE QA staff.
• Maintain communication with USACE COR regarding inspection/test concerns.
• Attend daily QA/Contractor QC meetings and document discussions.
• Review project specs, drawings, submittals, RFIs, and related docs.
• Perform/ witness concrete testing (slump, air, temperature, strength, etc.).
• Prepare daily QA inspection reports with photos and locations.
