Job summary

City of Baytown is seeking an entry-level Concrete Technician to support our street and sidewalk crews. You will assist with form setting, concrete pours, and site cleanup, while learning on-site safety protocols and gaining valuable field experience.

The role requires problem solving, good communication, and a strong work ethic. A valid Texas driver’s license and a high school diploma are required for this on-site position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; TX license required within 90 days.
• State of Texas Class 'B' CDL preferred or to be obtained within six months.

Responsibilities

• Assist crews with maintenance and repair of streets, sidewalks, driveways, alleys and drainage.
• Set forms, pour and finish concrete, and assist with base prep and backfill.
• Operate concrete-related tools and equipment; load/unload materials daily.
• Follow safety rules and communicate with the public and crew members.
