Job summary

City of Baytown, TX is seeking an entry-level Concrete Technician to support street, sidewalk, and drainage maintenance projects. You will assist with form setting, rebar, concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing under supervision.

The role requires basic problem solving and communication skills, plus a valid Texas driver’s license and, within six months, a Class B CDL. Prior concrete experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (TX license within 90 days).
• Valid Texas Class B CDL (within six months).
• Six months of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Works with crews on streets, sidewalks, driveways, alleys, and drainage repairs.
• Assists with concrete base prep, forms, positioning steel, and finishing.
• Mixes concrete and transports to pouring site; pours and finishes slabs.
• Checks truck, loads supplies, and cleans equipment daily.
• Drives to job site and sets up traffic safety cones and signs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
