Job summary

Scotiabank is seeking a Manager, Compliance Risk and Control Assessment to support the US CRCA program within Global Banking and Markets. The role involves coordinating annual and quarterly assessments, policy maintenance and governance reporting across Compliance stakeholders.

Five to seven years in compliance/risk roles is required, with BA or international equivalence. JD/Masters preferred but not required; strong communication and analytical skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of compliance, risk management, audit, regulatory exam support or related financial services experience.
• Experience supporting or executing compliance risk assessments and related second line risk management processes.
• Ability to review assessment rationale, challenge conclusions and coordinate deliverables across stakeholders.
• Strong written drafting, editing, and presentation skills for governance materials.

Responsibilities

• Execute CRCA processes including annual and quarterly assessments, thematic reviews and ad-hoc reviews.
• Review risk assessment inputs and action plan mappings for CRCA methodology alignment.
• Perform CRCA quality assurance reviews and provide actionable recommendations.
• Maintain CRCA policies, procedures and governance documentation across U.S. Compliance stakeholders.
• Support CRCA reporting, including management summaries and escalation materials.
• Coordinate with Compliance Advisory, Business Units, Internal Audit and other stakeholders to ensure data quality and timely delivery.
