Job summary

Scotiabank's Global Banking and Markets (US) in Dallas seeks an experienced Compliance Manager to support policy development and governance reporting for U.S. operations.

You will draft, review, and maintain compliance policies and internal controls, coordinate policy documents, and assist in regulatory updates and issue management. The role requires 3–5 years in banking compliance, strong drafting skills, and fluency with applicable laws.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of compliance experience in banking.
• Experience developing regulatory policies and internal controls.
• Experience with compliance reporting, governance reporting, and issue tracking.
• Strong drafting, editing, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Federal and State laws for non-U.S. banks operating in the U.S.
• Analytical and investigative skills; ability to work independently.
• Excellent teamwork and organization.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Experience with data analytics, automation a plus.
• BA required; JD/Masters preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and maintain compliance policies and internal controls.
• Coordinate policy documents repository and U.S. procedures.
• Support governance materials and dashboards.
• Track regulatory risk policies and ensure adherence.
• Assist U.S. Compliance Risk Committee with meetings and reporting.
• Prepare regulatory updates for stakeholders.
• Support escalation and remediation of issues.
