Job summary

Unofficial M.C. Dean is seeking a Telecom Technician 3 to install, plan, organize, and schedule communications cabling and equipment to complete work orders.

You will lead a crew of five technicians and apprentices, ensure high-quality installations, and perform safety inspections. The role requires knowledge of fiber optics, copper, and telecom systems, reading blueprints, and pursuing BICSI qualification.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in commercial communications industry.
• Excellent safety record and valid driver's license.
• Able to pass background check and drug test.
• Ability to pass basic telecom knowledge test.
• Read and understand plans and specs.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, plan, organize and schedule telecom cabling and equipment to complete work orders.
• Monitor task progress, ensure safety and quality per plans and codes.
• Oversee a crew of five or more technicians and apprentices.
• Train and supervise apprentices in cable installation from TR to WAO.
• Maintain as-built drawings and perform QA checks on team work.
• Travel up to 25% domestically or internationally.
