Job summary

IES Communications is seeking a Communications Technician II in Phoenix, AZ to lead a small team of installers and ensure daily workloads meet safety and quality standards. You will coordinate personnel and timelines to complete projects while maintaining accurate paperwork and adherence to company guidelines.

The role requires a minimum of two years in telecommunications, the ability to supervise others, and proficiency with standard field tools. Travel within territory is possible as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• At least two years in telecommunications or related field and ability to supervise others.
• Proficient with listed tools and able to read project documents.

Responsibilities

• Install work area outlets for floor, modular furniture and wall; terminate CAT3 & CAT5 jacks.
• Build closets: mount backboards, cross-connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic hardware.
• Perform testing: continuity, volt-ohm, diagnose opens/shorts, tone set.
• Identify active voice or data circuits; coordinate crew and training; ensure timely paperwork.
