Atlas Energy Solutions seeks a seasoned Commissioning Technician III to lead commissioning on multi-unit natural gas fleets and energy storage systems. You will own startup sequences, safety, testing, and turnover packages, coordinating with engineering, construction, and operations on complex sites.

You will mentor junior technicians and drive standardization across projects while ensuring compliance with NFPA 70E and other industry standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in commissioning, construction, or maintenance of power generation systems.
• Experience leading commissioning activities on a site with multiple stakeholders.
• Advanced experience commissioning and testing natural gas or reciprocating engine generation, switchgear, transformers.
• Experience leading islanded, black start, or off-grid facilities.
• Ability to read and verify electrical schematics and one-line diagrams.
• Willingness to travel extensively; valid Driver’s License.

Responsabilités

• Lead commissioning execution with safety and quality on assigned sites.
• Develop and sequence commissioning plans and turnover packages for systems.
• Direct the on-site commissioning team and verify testing to specification.
• Perform advanced testing: engine first fire, synchronization, load testing, relay testing.
• Own startup sequence for multi-unit fleets and emissions testing.
• Lead commissioning of battery energy storage systems (BESS).
• Manage punch lists and escalation of risks to leadership.
• Review test reports and as-built documentation before turnover.
