Job summary

Niron Magnetics, Inc. is seeking a Commissioning Manager to lead the safe, documented commissioning and startup of Plant 1 in Sartell, Minnesota.

This role will translate engineering and system definitions into executable plans, manage handover to Process Engineering, and coordinate across Engineering, Construction, Operations, Maintenance, EHS, Quality, and vendors. You will drive readiness, testing, and documentation to ensure a successful startup.

Qualifications

• Experience leading commissioning and startup for complex industrial facilities.
• Ability to read and apply P&IDs, one-line diagrams, and equipment documentation.
• Strong documentation discipline and risk management.
• On-site work in Sartell, MN with project-wide coordination.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain commissioning and startup plans, including system boundaries and handover criteria.
• Translate system definitions into a commissioning sequence and integration plan.
• Develop the integrated commissioning schedule, resource plan, and test scripts.
• Lead readiness reviews, testing, issue resolution, and punch-list closure.
• Coordinate with owners, contractors, OEMs, Operations, Maintenance, EHS, and Quality.
• Ensure procedures, permits, isolations, and vendor support are ready before work begins.
• Provide commissioning training and knowledge transfer to the Niron team.
