Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Commissioning Advisor to lead the commissioning activities for a combined cycle power plant, ensuring installation, testing, and operation meet project specs and safety standards.

You will collaborate with engineering, construction, and plant operations to support PMO activities, supervision of field teams, and successful handover of plant systems. This role requires travel to construction sites and extended remote assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
• Minimum of 7 years of commissioning experience in the power generation industry, with specific experience in combined cycle power plants.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed commissioning plans, schedules, and execution strategies.
• Lead and supervise commissioning personnel, subcontractors, and field teams.
• Oversee testing, inspection, and validation of plant systems, including gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, HRSGs, and auxiliary equipment.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical or operational issues during commissioning and start-up.
• Ensure procedures, test records, punch lists, and turnover documentation are completed and maintained.
