Responsibilities

The selected candidate will work as an Electrical Service / UPS Installation Systems Technician for M.C. Dean's Service & National Accounts Group. This group operates 24/7/365 to support our customers and is known for providing The Ultimate Customer Experience. We offer world-class support and training, fostering a family-oriented culture focused on customer satisfaction, quality, and safety.

This regional service position requires regular travel across the United States. Responsibilities include electrical installations, UPS servicing, troubleshooting, and resolving electrical problems professionally and safely. The candidate must maintain a professional appearance at all times.

  • Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, cable, equipment, components, and devices according to blueprints, plans, and codes.
  • Installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining EMS systems, smart breakers, electronic controls, panels, sensors, and components.
  • Inspecting sites and studying work orders, plans, and manuals to determine materials and procedures.
  • Testing electrical systems and circuits using appropriate devices.
  • Diagnosing malfunctions and correcting issues using test equipment and hand tools.
  • Training and directing workers in electrical installations and repairs.
  • This position involves approximately 60% travel across the U.S. at various locations.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma/GED with at least 8+ years of experience in the electrical service industry, including UPS system installation.

Candidate Expectations:

  • Pass a background check and drug test.
  • Possess an acceptable driving record; may require use of a company vehicle.
  • Excellent knowledge of electrical tools and testing equipment.
  • Comfortable using smart devices and web-based applications.
  • Committed to high-quality work and safety standards.
  • Wear OSHA-approved clothing, including boots and shirts covering shoulders.
  • Reliable attendance and teamwork skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Journeyman's license or equivalent.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Lift and Aerial Training, NFPA 70E, OSHA 30).
  • UPS installation experience.
