Job summary

Byrum Heating & AC, a NearU Company, seeks a Commercial HVAC Lead Installer to lead on-site projects from kickoff to startup. You will guide a crew, read blueprints, and ensure quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

With 4+ years in commercial/residential HVAC, EPA certification, and a valid license, you will mentor Install Helpers and Apprentices while delivering on-time installations. This role offers year-round work and growth within the NearU network.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial or residential HVAC installation experience.
• Leadership experience managing installation projects and mentoring team members.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• EPA Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial HVAC installation projects from kickoff to final startup.
• Install and replace rooftop units, split systems, furnaces, heat pumps, and ducts.
• Read blueprints and specifications to keep projects on schedule.
• Coach Install Helpers and Apprentices on site.
• Verify airflow, refrigerant charge, electrical connections, and performance.
• Perform startups, testing, commissioning, and final inspections.
• Communicate with customers, PMs, and team members throughout the project.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
• Complete installation documentation accurately and on time.
