Job summary

Mid-Ohio Air Conditioning is seeking a Lead Commercial HVAC Installer to join our Construction team in Ohio. The role covers equipment replacement, ductwork and piping work for commercial, industrial, and institutional customers. You will read blueprints, coordinate crews, and ensure quality and safety on every project.

You will perform start-up and commissioning activities, interact with project management, and uphold industry standards. Training is provided, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational degree or apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience in commercial HVAC installation, ductwork, and piping.
• Experience leading field installation crews preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
• EPA Section 608 certification a plus.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with clean driving record required.
• OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation crews on equipment replacement, ductwork, and piping projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project specifications.
• Perform equipment start-up and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate daily work activities and communicate progress to project management.
• Ensure all installations meet industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to HVAC system installations in the field.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used via company field service applications.
• Adhere to all OSHA, MOAC, and site safety policies; apply PPE and LOTO procedures at all times.
