Qualifications

• 4–15 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Preference for Procore and Building Connected experience.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to prepare conceptual and budget estimates for customers.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision on routine tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates on all projects assigned.
• Review bid coverage daily.
• Review large bids with VP Preconstruction and PM.
• Review plans, specifications and contract documents.
• Initiate sales calls to past customers and current prospects.
• Solicit and receive subcontractor quotes; evaluate them.
• Determine preliminary in-house manpower requirements for bids.
• Communicate with Project Management to determine realistic schedules.
• Present quotations to senior management for final fee decisions.
• Assist with pre-construction services and early buyouts.
